Björn Dahlström Appointed Director of Nouveau Musée National de Monaco
On April 1, 2021, Björn Dahlström, an art historian, will take over as the director of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM), following Marie-Claude Beaud, who has been at the helm since 2009. Dahlström, originally from Casablanca and born in 1975, first crossed paths with Beaud in 2000 while collaborating on artist Bob Wilson's collection. Together, they curated the acclaimed exhibition "Air Conditioned" at the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003. Dahlström regards Beaud as a mentor. His previous roles include coordinating the Musée Berbère in Marrakech and managing the Musée Dreyfus project. He has been leading the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech since 2015 and the Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Paris since 2019.
