Bisazza Foundation: Where Mosaic Meets Contemporary Art and Photography

exhibition · 2026-04-26

In 2012, the Bisazza Foundation was established in Vicenza, Italy, within a transformed industrial facility designed by Carlo dal Bianco. Covering 8,000 square meters, the foundation features permanent works from a variety of international artists and designers, such as Alessandro Mendini, Arik Levy, and Patricia Urquiola. Notable pieces include Mendini's striking Poltrona di Proust, a baroque armchair adorned with hand-painted designs, and a mosaic by Sandro Chia illustrating bathers in Capri. The foundation also presents temporary photography exhibitions. Currently showcased are an architectural photography exhibit featuring Eugène Atget and others, a fashion photography retrospective curated by Cristina Carrillo de Albornoz, and Nobuyoshi Araki's nudes from 2009. A new exhibition titled "Chronostasis" by Axel Hütte opens on October 18.
