Bill Murray to Receive Career Award at Rome Film Fest 2019

The 14th edition of the Festa del Cinema di Roma will take place from October 17 to 27, 2019, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. The official poster features Greta Garbo from her first sound film 'The Kiss' (1929). Antonio Monda returns for his fifth year as artistic director, while Laura Delli Colli serves her first as President of Fondazione Cinema per Roma. The parallel section Alice nella Città will pre-open on October 7 with 'Maleficent' starring Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfeiffer. The 'Incontri Ravvicinati' series will host director Olivier Assayas, author Bret Easton Ellis, Oscar winner Ron Howard, filmmaker Kore-eda Hirokazu, and director Bertrand Tavernier. Bill Murray will receive a Career Award, presented by Wes Anderson, who will also conduct an on-stage conversation with Murray. The full program will be announced on October 4.
