BilbaoArte Opens Call for 2026-2027 Production Grants

BilbaoArte Foundation has launched a call for 11 production grants for the 2026-2027 period, running from September 2026 to July 2027. The grants aim to support professional artists by providing economic resources and access to workshops in digital imaging, MediaLab, sculpture, and screen printing/engraving. The funding increase aligns with Spain's Ministry of Culture efforts to improve artists' social security and tax status, with the Basque government's Bizkaia Provincial Council implementing a decree (6/2025, February 13) effective January 2026. The call is open to all artists regardless of age, origin, gender, nationality, or personal condition, requiring a work plan demonstrating use of BilbaoArte's technical facilities. Up to 11 grants will be awarded, coexisting with mobility and exchange program participants.
