Bike parking at Milan and Rome theaters: a fragmented picture

A survey of major theaters in Milan and Rome reveals inconsistent bike parking infrastructure, with most relying on municipal racks rather than dedicated facilities. In Milan, the Piccolo Teatro, Teatro Carcano, Teatro Elfo Puccini, Teatro Nazionale, and Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber all use public racks, while Teatro Franco Parenti, Teatro Dal Verme, and Teatro degli Arcimboldi offer no specific services. In Rome, the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone and Casa del Jazz have installed racks, but the Teatro Vascello cites steep hills, lack of bike lanes, and safety concerns as barriers, allowing informal parking in the foyer. The Fondazione Teatro di Roma, Teatro dell'Opera, Teatro Quirino – Vittorio Gassman, Teatro Brancaccio, and Teatro Sistina report no dedicated bike infrastructure.
