Bienvenue: New Affordable Art Fair Launches During FIAC 2018 in Paris

A new art fair called Bienvenue will debut during FIAC 2018 in Paris, running from October 15 to 27 at the Cité Internationale des Arts. Conceived by gallerist Olivier Robert, the fair aims to provide an affordable alternative for galleries and collectors priced out of FIAC and other major fairs. It will host about twenty galleries, mostly French, across three floors of the historic artist residency along the Seine, near the Marais. Stand prices range from €2,500 to €5,000, with options for galleries to share costs. Artwork prices are also kept accessible to attract a broader audience of art lovers. Notably, Bienvenue breaks the typical one-week fair format by lasting two weeks. The fair joins a growing roster of satellite events during FIAC, including Paris Internationale, which this year returns to its origins in a 19th-century villa near the Arc de Triomphe.
