Biennale Révélations 2027 unveils hybrid porcelain-textile sculpture by Daniela Bergschneider

festival-fair · 2026-05-27

The 8th Biennale Révélations, hosted by Ateliers d’Art de France, is set to take place from May 19 to 23, 2027, at the Grand Palais in Paris. Following a record attendance of over 45,000 in 2025, the upcoming event will highlight Ireland as the featured country. The standout piece will be Gewächs VI, a hybrid sculpture crafted by German-Norwegian artist Daniela Bergschneider in Bergen, Norway. This artwork, which took almost three months to create, combines hand-shaped porcelain with nylon fabric dyed through the Japanese shibori technique. Bergschneider refers to it as an evolving work, focusing on its organic essence and 'visual tactility.' Gewächs VI will debut at the biennale's opening in May 2027.
