The 25th edition of the Biennale of Sydney, titled 'Rememory' and curated by Hoor Al Qasimi, is set to take place from March 14 to June 14, 2026. This event will showcase 37 artists and collectives at various locations, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales and White Bay Power Station. Notably, 15 First Nations artists will present new works in collaboration with Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in Paris. Additionally, the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University has obtained Pacita Abad's archives, which encompass over thirty years of her work, including photographs and personal items. Sohrab Hura, a photographer and filmmaker from New Delhi, received the 2025 Eye Art & Film Prize, worth EUR 30,000. On May 29, Seoul inaugurated its first public photography museum, PhotoSeMA, featuring exhibitions like 'The Radiance: Beginnings of Korean Art Photography' and 'Storage Story.' Ruth Ige, a painter from Nigeria residing in Auckland, was awarded the 2025 Rydal Art Prize, which includes AUD 25,000 and a solo exhibition in August 2026. Gallery Weekend Beijing 2025 recognized Guo Cheng's 'Bug' at Magician Space with the Best Exhibition Award, while Li Shurui's exhibition at White Space and Nguyễn Trinh Thi's at Spurs Gallery received the Infinity Award.
