Biennale Gherdëina 10 Explores Gardens as Contested Spaces
The 10th Biennale Gherdëina, named (Future) Paradise Gardens and overseen by curator Samuel Leuenberger, will commence on May 30, 2026, in Ortisei, Italy. This event showcases the work of 25 artists, including Chanelle Adams, Andrius Arutiunian, and Jacopo Belloni. The exhibition features sections such as 'Commoning' and 'Queer Ecology', which explore industrial influences. Activities on the opening day include a tour led by the curator, a culinary experience, a performance by Ana Prvački, and a tour of Mount Juac. On May 31, attendees can participate in a workshop with Pedro Wirz and Michael Marder. A notable piece is Jacopo Belloni's Dormancy, backed by the Italian Ministry of Culture.
