Biennale di Venezia's Educational Initiative Hosts Dance Happening and Workshops in Mestre for 2026

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Biennale di Venezia's Educational initiative, Parco aperto 2026, will host a free public dance happening at the Pattinodromo Arcobaleno in Parco Albanese, Mestre-Bissuola, starting at 3 PM. This event, part of the fourth edition of Happening della Biennale di Venezia, invites local dance schools to participate, offering a joyful afternoon focused on contemporary and modern dance as a collective celebration of bodily freedom. Registration for dance schools is open until April 27, 2026, via an online form. Additionally, two workshops are scheduled for the same day: 'Geografie Abitate,' a community dance lab for adults aged 18 and above at 10:00 AM, emphasizing movement, shared space exploration, and relational expression without prior experience required; and 'Geroglifici in Movimento,' a creative workshop for families with children aged 5–10 at 11:00 AM, where participants invent a bodily alphabet through dance and imagination. Both workshops are inclusive and free, requiring online booking.
