Biennale di Venezia and China Academy of Art Sign Memorandum of Understanding

On August 8, 2024, La Biennale di Venezia and the China Academy of Art (CAA) of Hangzhou signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote contemporary arts including architecture, dance, music, theater, and cinema. The agreement, part of the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo's death (1324–2024), involves a special project by the Biennale's Historical Archive (ASAC). Biennale President Pietrangelo Buttafuoco and CAA President Gao Shiming participated in the online signing ceremony. The collaboration will begin this autumn with an exhibition at the Art Museum of CAA in Hangzhou, featuring exhibitions, research programs, editorial activities, conferences, and international seminars.
