Biennale del Gran Sasso Presents 'La Soglia' for 2026 Edition with Selected Artists
The Biennale del Gran Sasso, a new art biennial distributed along the Cammino del Gran Sasso in Abruzzo, will hold its first edition in 2026. The call for artists closed June 28, attracting over 250 applications from Italy and abroad. Curated by Maurizio Coccia, the event's theme 'La Soglia' will guide residencies from September 1-17, with works presented September 18-20. Selected artists include Simone Cametti, Francesco Mariano, Veronica Vagnoni, Serena Vittorini, and Xu Yang. The initiative is promoted by Frequenze dal Gran Sasso, Il Cammino del Gran Sasso, and Fondazione Giorgio de Marchis Bonanni d'Ocre. The biennial aims to rethink public art by prioritizing territory, community, and process over permanent objects.
