Biennale Arte 2026 appoints all-female international jury to award Golden Lions
An international jury composed entirely of women has been established for the Biennale Arte 2026 to present the Golden Lions. This panel, led by president Solange Oliveira Farkas, features Zoe Butt, Elvira Dyangani Ose, Marta Kuzma, and Giovanna Zapperi, all chosen by the Board of Directors of La Biennale di Venezia following a proposal from curator Koyo Kouoh. Their backgrounds focus on curation and research. The jury will assess and distribute official awards, including the Golden Lion for the best national participation and artist, as well as the Silver Lion for a promising young artist. Results will be revealed on May 9, 2026, during the 61st International Art Exhibition, 'In Minor Keys,' which will take place in Venice from May 9 to November 22, 2026.
