Biennale Arte 2019 closes with final Meetings on Art performances and conversations
The 58th Venice Biennale, titled "May You Live In Interesting Times," will wrap up on November 24, 2019, as Venice faces flooding; however, the Giardini and Arsenale venues remain unscathed. The concluding week features the Meetings on Art program, which includes lectures and performances. On November 17 and 20, Lebanese artist Tarek Atoui will showcase "Mirror Reverse" at Teatro alle Tese. Uriel Barthélémi will perform at Palazzo Grassi on November 20, where Luc Tuymans' "Schwarzheide" will be on view until November 22. From November 22-23, discussions and performances centered on biopolitics and ecology will highlight works by Zheng Bo, Cooking Sections, Vivien Sansour, and Invernomuto. The event will culminate in a dialogue between Paolo Baratta and Ralph Rugoff.
