Biennale Architettura 2018: 14 Extra-European National Pavilions Previewed

The 16th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, named 'Freespace' and overseen by curators Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara, is set to commence on May 26, 2018. A jury featuring Frank Barkow and Sofía von Ellrichshausen will present three awards. Notable exhibits include Argentina's pavilion showcasing a glass case by Javier Mendiondo, Australia's 'Repair' filled with thousands of plants, Brazil's 'Muros de Ar' which reimagines walls, and Canada's 'Unceded: Voices of the Land' created by Douglas Cardinal. Additionally, Chile's 'Stadium' reflects on historical events, while China's 'Building a Future Countryside' addresses rural development. Other participating nations include Korea, Egypt, the UAE, Japan, Israel, Mexico, Singapore, and the US with its 'Dimensions of Citizenship'.
