BIENALSUR Makes Italian Debut Across Four Cities
The inaugural Italian edition of BIENALSUR, established by Argentina's Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), will take place from October 22, 2025, to January 30, 2026, across Biella, Milan, Rome, and Naples. The theme, "Invocazioni," draws inspiration from a 1994 lecture by James Hillman. In Milan, curator Benedetta Casini presents "Invocazioni. Divenire Animale," focusing on the relationship between humans and animals. Matias Ercole's work at Museo di Roma reflects 19th-century interpretations of the American wilderness. The Brazilian Embassy features artists Lia Chaia, Paulo Nazareth, and Claudia Andujar. Biella's Fondazione Pistoletto hosts "(d)estructura" by Colectivo El puente_lab, while Naples showcases a solo exhibition by Pablo La Padula.
