BIENALSUR Expands Across Argentina with Feminist, Indigenous, and Video Art Exhibitions
BIENALSUR, the international biennial, is expanding its programming across Argentina throughout June and July, reinforcing its multiterritorial character. Rosario will host the integrated exhibition 'Dos museos y un río' on July 5 and 6 at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario (Macro), featuring works from the Castagnino and Macro museums and artists like León Ferrari and Graciela Sacco. The following day, the Centro Cultural Parque de España in Rosario inaugurates 'Ensayos sobre el trabajo,' with works by artists including Tnani Ali from Tunisia, Yohnattan Mignot from Uruguay, and Catalina Sosa from Argentina. A significant feminist exhibition, 'Recuperemos la imaginación para cambiar la historia,' organized by the Ni Una Menos movement, will occupy the Centro de Expresiones Contemporáneas. In Córdoba, starting June 13, the exhibition '(+) MUNDOS (-) IMPOSIBLES' will showcase works by artists like Chiachio & Giannone, Luis Pazos, and León Ferrari. San Juan will present 'The Body of Time,' a solo exhibition by acclaimed American video artist Bill Viola, curated by Brazilian Marcello Dantas, at the Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes Franklin Rawson from June 21. The biennial's activities, which began with activations in May in Tierra Del Fuego and Tucumán, will also have openings in Buenos Aires next month.
