Bicycle bell concert along Alpe Adria cycle path in Friuli Venezia Giulia

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

On June 16, 2024, the Ciclovia Alpe Adria will host the Concerto in bicicletta per campanelli accordati, aligning with Italy's National Cycling Day. This event is part of the Topofonie initiative by artists Antonio Della Marina and Alessandra Zucchi, which seeks to highlight the acoustic gems of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Approximately one thousand hand-tuned bicycle bells will create harmonious sounds in the tunnels between Tarvisio and Chiusaforte. Participants will be provided with bells and guidance. Additionally, a site-specific installation by Jan van der Ploeg will debut at Pontebba, followed by performances from Mattia Tomat and Enrico Leonarduzzi. The project enjoys the support of Friuli Venezia Giulia and NextGenerationEU. A preview took place in Longarone in October 2023.
