Bianchi Zardin Contemporary Art Opens in Milan with Brigitta Rossetti Solo Show
A new gallery, Bianchi Zardin Contemporary Art, has opened in Milan's Garibaldi district at Via Maroncelli 14, founded by Gaia Bianchi and Andrea Zardin. The space aims to serve as a meeting point for professionals and enthusiasts, with a focus on promoting young Italian and international talents through collaborations with public and private institutions. The inaugural exhibition, "Gli stivali di Peter Pan" (Peter Pan's Boots), features artist Brigitta Rossetti (born 1974 in Piacenza). Rossetti's practice centers on reuse, incorporating abandoned, recovered, raw, organic, industrial, and waste materials into sculptures and installations. The show includes an installation made from recycled materials that gives the exhibition its name, described as a passe-partout to a metaphysical space representing introspection. Other works like "Lost Spring" and "La stessa isola di prima" explore connections between natural and artificial elements, while "Incomprenhsibile" recontextualizes a yoke to suggest that appearances deceive. The exhibition runs from February 14 to April 4, 2020.
