BFI Southbank marks Marilyn Monroe centenary with two-month film season
BFI Southbank will host a two-month film season, 'Marilyn Monroe: Self Made Star', from 1 June to 31 July, celebrating the centenary of Monroe's birth. Curated by lead programmer Kim Sheehan, the season coincides with Monroe's 100th birthday. It includes a BFI Distribution rerelease of John Huston's 'The Misfits', Monroe's final film, which will screen in UK and Ireland cinemas from 5 June.
