BFF Banking Group Unveils Milan Headquarters with Public Art Museum
BFF Banking Group has commenced construction on Casa BFF, its new headquarters located in Milan's Portello area, with design contributions from OBR architects Paolo Brescia and Tommaso Principi. The 7,000-square-meter facility, purchased from Fondazione Fiera Milano in February 2023, will include a public garden, an outdoor amphitheater, and a museum dedicated to the bank's contemporary art collection. This collection features pieces by notable artists such as Valerio Adami, Enrico Baj, and Mario Schifano, gathered since the 1980s. The museum is part of the European tour, Art factor – The Pop Legacy in Post-War Italian Art, which started in 2021. Casa BFF aims for LEED Platinum and WELL Gold certifications, incorporating 2,300 square meters of photovoltaic panels to produce 360 MWh annually. The development will also introduce a new public square, a pedestrian bridge linking to CityLife and Monte Stella, bike lanes, and enhanced public transport options. Designed to accommodate 500 employees, the building is slated to open by December 2024, in time for the bank's 40th anniversary. BFF additionally acquired a stake in Treccani in January 2023. Both President Salvatore Messina and CEO Massimiliano Belingheri highlighted the significance of this project for community integration and urban renewal.
