Beyond The Third Wave: Political Art Takes Over The Free Will Prison
The Free Will Prison, an alternative art venue in London, is set to launch its first exhibition, Beyond The Third Wave, which will run from 7th to 24th August 2026. A private viewing is scheduled for 6th August from 6 PM to 10 PM. Curated by Noah Powers, this exhibition showcases the work of 12 contemporary artists who engage with the themes of power and identity in a post-Brexit, post-pandemic context. The display includes photomontage, collage, installation, public intervention, and digital media. Notable contributions come from Peter Kennard, Cold War Steve, and Cat Phillipps, as the exhibition critiques visual narratives from advertising and media, addressing political fatigue and fragmented identities while advocating for art as a form of resistance.
