Between Music&Arts Festival Debuts in Sicily’s Archaeological Parks

The Between Festival, after two editions in Piazza Armerina, has evolved into the Between Music&Arts Festival, taking place from July 22 to 28, 2024, in Sicily’s province of Enna. The festival will animate archaeological sites including the Parco di Morgantina and Villa Romana del Casale, with concerts, multidisciplinary performances, exhibitions, screenings, talks, and presentations. Director Carmelo Nicotra of the Parco di Morgantina and Villa Romana del Casale promotes the event to enrich cultural offerings and foster public-private partnerships. The program highlights include Nicola Piovani’s 'Note a Margine' homage to Federico Fellini on July 24 in Piazza Cattedrale, and 'Fellini, la luce dei sogni' performance on July 25. The festival also launches the Between Songwriting Camp, a Mediterranean music campus hosting 50 young artists from Egypt, Algeria, Syria, Tunisia, and Palestine for free music production workshops. Co-directors Roberto Grossi and Stefano Mastruzzi (director of Saint Louis College of Music) emphasize Fellini as a unifying theme and the camp’s focus on collective creativity. The festival is organized by Saint Louis College of Music and cultural association Globart.
