Bétonsalon Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Program
Bétonsalon-Centre d'art et de recherche marks its tenth anniversary with a series of new exhibitions and discussions. Established in 2003 by Mélanie Bouteloup, Cyril Dietrich, and Marie Cozette, the center features two monthly exhibitions highlighting emerging artists. Following its move in 2006 to La Maison rouge, it was granted space at Halle aux farines of Université Paris 7. The center focuses on interdisciplinary approaches, merging art with architecture, music, and social sciences. Key highlights include the Playtime festival in 2008 and exhibitions such as "Quelque chose de plus qu'une succession de notes" in 2013 and "Tropicomania: la vie sociale des plantes" in 2012. For the anniversary, Éric Baudelaire will produce a film and set up an "Anambassade de la République Abkhaze," while future plans involve a residency for Karthik Pandian and workshops led by Laëtitia Badaut-Haussmann.
