Bethan Laura Wood reimagines Baccarat's classic chandelier for Milan Design Week installation
After a decade, Baccarat makes its return to Milan Design Week with a fresh collection crafted by designer Bethan Laura Wood. Wood has transformed the 'Zénith' chandelier into a vertical modular system, incorporating star-shaped metal supports and turquoise crystal accents. The design showcases prisms, octagonal forms, and hues such as olivine and amber, complemented by a round mirrored panel that creates a vortex illusion. Customers can choose between a single or multi-ring arrangement. Additionally, the collection includes two wall sconces and candleholders. Wood's objective was to fuse classic chandelier design with minimalism. These creations are featured in 'Crystal Crypt,' a sci-fi-themed exhibition curated by Emmanuelle Luciani, taking place from 21-25 April 2026 at Via Marco Formentini 10 in Milan.
