Beth Letain's Minimalist Biology at Peres Projects Milan
Canadian artist and biologist Beth Letain (b. 1976) presents 'Bring the Ground to You', her third exhibition with Peres Projects and the first in their new Milan venue at Palazzo Belgioioso. Her minimalist compositions, inspired by cellular processes like mitosis, use spontaneous, unruled lines that echo Barnett Newman's 'zips' but reveal the vulnerability of imperfect gesture. Letain describes this phase as 'walking through my mysterious valley.' The exhibition runs at Peres Projects, Piazza Belgioioso, Milan, in 2023.
