Bernardes Arquitetura Designs Fundación Albuquerque in Sintra

The Fundación Albuquerque, a new cultural institution in Sintra, Portugal, has been completed by Bernardes Arquitetura. Curated by Susanna Moreira, the 4,000 m² project focuses on the exhibition and study of Chinese export porcelain and contemporary ceramics. The architecture team includes Thiago Bernardes, Thiago Moretti, Camila Tariki, and Ilana Daylac, with coordination by Renata Leite. Landscape design is by Topiaris, lighting by OHM-E, engineering by Meyvaert, and construction by HCI. Photographers Fernando Guerra, Lourenço Teixeira de Abreu, and Francisco Nogueira documented the project. The building, completed in 2025, falls under the categories of cultural architecture, exhibition center, and restorations.
