Bernardello, Bufalini e Cecconi at Current Project Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Current Project in Milan hosts Luca Bernardello, Paolo Bufalini, and Filippo Cecconi, all born in 1994 and founders of the artist-run space TRIPLA in Bologna, for the final exhibition of the season. The collaboration between the two spaces began with the earlier show Portal, where they were linked via a real-time projection of each other's openings. For this exhibition, the three artists divided the space by drawing straws. Bernardello uses the ceiling to hang a lobster, a crab, a Rich Rock, and a copy of Perugino on a smartphone. Cecconi attaches to the walls a screen showing a slowed-down video of an art TV sale, rendered both distressing and amusing. The floor is occupied by two large blobs, formless creatures with human names: Brandon (one eye) and Margherita (many eyes).
