Bergamo's SANBE15/C Gallery Opens with Andrea Maffioletti Solo Show

A new contemporary art space, SANBE15/C gallery, has opened in Bergamo, founded by Paola Amadeo and Francesca Parisi. Located at Via San Bernardino 15/C, the gallery aims to be an accessible and engaging venue for established and emerging artists, as well as passionate amateurs. The name reflects its street address and its commitment to local community and cultural potential. The gallery is complemented by SANBE17, a loft house in the same building for artist residencies. The inaugural exhibition, 'Il ricordo del tempo' (The Memory of Time), features Andrea Maffioletti, a visual artist from Bergamo and co-founder of the YØWP – Your Own Way to Paint collective. The show, opening on May 15, 2025, presents new paintings in oil and charcoal exploring time and memory through elusive faces. Maffioletti describes his interest in the face not as portraiture but as a vessel for memories and emotions, evoking absent presences. The curators describe the works as silent yet vibrant, intimate yet universal.
