Benni Bosetto's 'Florida' at Tile Project Space in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Benni Bosetto (born 1987 in Merate, lives in Amsterdam) presents 'Florida' at Tile Project Space in Milan, an installation conceived as an aquarium from which the life-sustaining element has been removed, replaced by visual thought. The artist covers all surfaces—walls, floor, and throughout the room—with large white paper sheets marked by black marker strokes that trace volumes and demonstrate direct hand control. The environment functions as a domestic sanctuary where Greek columns, arches, and tropical nature distort reality, with references to the female body within art history iconography. Two dancers at the center of a space redesigned in line, reminiscent of an ancient thermal area stripped of color, evoke the effects of a sudden fountain of youth. The exhibition runs until October 22, 2016.
