Belvedere Event Presents New Research on Erika Giovanna Klien's Written Art
The Belvedere in Vienna will host a presentation on Erika Giovanna Klien (1900–1957), spotlighting the role of letters and text in her work. The event builds on a research project initiated in 2023 at the Istituto Italiano di Studi Germanici in Rome by Stefano Franchini and Veronica Liotti, which uncovered previously unknown drawings, typographic texts, photographs, and correspondence. Moderated by curator Verena Gamper, the talk reinterprets series such as the Klessheimer Sendbote and examines the influence of Klien's teacher Rudolf von Larisch. After the presentation, participants can view the exhibition until 20:30; admission is free with a ticket.
