Belgium House 2026: Immersive Tech, Storytelling, and Creative Collaboration in London

Belgium House 2026, organized by Wallonia-Brussels International, took place at London's Shoreditch Arts Club, bringing together creatives, researchers, and industry leaders from Belgium and the UK. The event focused on immersive storytelling, creative technologies, music, design, and cross-border collaboration. Panels included discussions on translating immersive research into real-world adoption, turning global IP into physical experiences, and rethinking immersive exhibitions beyond spectacle. Speakers included Camille Donegan (CEO of Eirmersive and director of XR4Europe), Etienne Sainton of Alterface, and Dawn Foot of Katapult and TEA EME Division. Marie du Chastel of Kikk Festival and Ikii studio moderated a panel questioning commercial investment in immersive art. Belgium House also previewed Kanal-Centre Pompidou, set to open in November 2026 in Brussels, transforming a former Citroën factory into one of Europe's largest modern and contemporary art museums. Motonobu Kasajima, general representative of Wallonia-Brussels to the UK, and Belgian ambassador Jeroen Cooreman highlighted Belgium's creative impact globally, citing awards at Cannes, designers at leading fashion houses, and artists like Angèle and Stromae. The event aimed to strengthen ties between Belgium and the UK and promote creative collaboration across Europe.
