Beatriz Milhazes presents '100 Sóis' exhibition at Museu de Arte da Bahia in Salvador

The Museu de Arte da Bahia is hosting '100 Sóis,' the inaugural solo exhibition of Beatriz Milhazes in Salvador, which features her artistic journey spanning thirty years. Curated by Tiago Mesquita, the exhibit presents a mix of historical paintings, contemporary collages, and a newly created stained-glass installation for the museum’s windows, utilizing colorful films for vibrant projections. Notable works include 'A Seda' from the 2000s and 'Memórias do Futuro II' (2023). This exhibition delves into Milhazes's relationship with modern art, constructivist influences, and pop culture, emphasizing her unique patterns and compositional techniques. It runs from January 20 to April 29, Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00, located at Avenida Sete de Setembro, 2340, in Salvador's Corredor da Vitória.
