Beatriz Lemos Appointed Adjuvant Curator at MAM Rio Following Open Call
Beatriz Lemos has been appointed as the new adjuvant curator at the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (MAM Rio), selected from 139 applicants. She holds a master's in Social History of Culture from PUC-RJ and founded Lastro – Intercâmbios Livres em Arte. Lemos has previously worked on the cataloging of Márcia X's archives, which led to a notable exhibition in 2013. The Adjuvant Curatorship functions within the Artistic Directorate, concentrating on exhibition projects and supporting research, conservation, education, and training efforts. Keyna Eleison pointed out that Lemos's impressive career will enhance the museum's programs. MAM Rio's restructuring initiative started in January 2020 under executive director Fabio Szwarcwald, and Lemos also contributed to the 'VI Seminário Internacional ARTE!Brasileiros.'
