Beatrice von Bismarck and Rike Frank launch 'Of(f) Our Times' at Central Saint Martins
On February 10, 2020, from 17:30 to 19:30, Beatrice von Bismarck and Rike Frank unveiled their anthology, 'Of(f) Our Times: Curatorial Anachronics,' at the LVMH Lecture Theatre, Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. This event, part of the Monday Guest Lecture Series and associated with the BA Fine Art programme, included a dialogue on reimagining the artistic, curatorial, and literary dimensions of exhibition histories. Lucy Steeds, a Series Editor for Afterall’s Exhibition Histories and Reader in Art Theory at the University of the Arts London, provided a response to the anthology, published by Sternberg Press. Attendees could purchase copies, including 'Exhibition, Design, Participation: “an Exhibit” 1957 and Related Projects,' which informed Steeds' remarks. The event was free, requiring RSVP at contact@afterall.org. Beatrice von Bismarck serves as Professor of Art History and Visual Studies at Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (HGB) in Leipzig, while Rike Frank is a Berlin-based freelance curator and writer.
