Beatrice Marchi's New Works at Studio Iannaccone in Milan
Beatrice Marchi (born 1986 in Besnate) presents a new series of works at Studio Iannaccone in Milan, bringing grace, iridescence, and femininity to the office space of the Iannaccone Collection on Corso Matteotti. The lawyer Iannaccone, during the openings of In Pratica, had previously favored emerging artists capable of marking a complex territory. For "Ruffiana la Mafalda" and "La Loredana del villaggio," Marchi reconstructs the narrative stature of a female character and choreographs her emotional world of reproaches, transformations, insecurities, and indecisions, which seem to pivot around the only work from 2016, "Autoritratto" – a point where the artist looks after having seen herself. As in "Occhioni" (2017), her ideal support remains acrylic on wood, which seems to literally clothe the inner over-reality, on the threshold of darkness, with which Marchi surrounds herself to explore a world that does not appear as we left it outside.
