Beatrice Leanza Appointed Director of Mudac in Lausanne
Effective January 1, 2023, Beatrice Leanza has been named the director of Mudac, the Cantonal Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts located in Lausanne, Switzerland, as announced by the Plateforme 10 Foundation. Born in Milan in 1978, Leanza held the position of executive director at MAAT in Lisbon from 2019 until 2021. She also dedicated 17 years to her career in Beijing, starting at CAAW, an organization established by Ai Weiwei. From 2013 to 2016, she curated contemporary art and design initiatives and served as the creative director for Beijing Design Week. Her vast experience in cultural management and innovative approaches position her well to lead Mudac alongside the Plateforme 10 teams.
