Beatles to Open Museum at 3 Savile Row, Site of Final Rooftop Gig

exhibition · 2026-05-11

The Beatles are turning 3 Savile Row, a historic building in London, into a museum called "The Beatles at 3 Savile Row," which will open in 2027. This was their headquarters from 1968 to 1972, where they recorded *Let It Be* and held the iconic rooftop concert on January 30, 1969. The seven-story space will showcase rare items, a replica of their studio, and a rooftop area for visitors to relive the concert vibe. Sir Paul McCartney shared with the BBC his wish for a Beatles landmark in London, especially since tourists can only visit Abbey Road. Tom Greene, the new CEO of Apple Corps, proposed this project. Fans can sign up for tickets online. The building also features a restored blue plaque commemorating the rooftop concert. It once belonged to General Robert Ross, who burned the White House in 1814. After the band split in 1970, Apple Corps used the site until 1976, when it became an Abercrombie & Fitch. Ringo Starr said returning feels like "coming home." Also, Ringo and McCartney will release new music in 2025.
