BeArt launches corporate crowdfunding for Guido van der Werve show

exhibition · 2026-05-05

BeArt, Italy's first crowdfunding platform dedicated to contemporary art, has launched a corporate crowdfunding campaign to support 'Auto Sacramental', a retrospective of Dutch artist Guido van der Werve at FuturDome in Milan, on view until April 12. The platform, founded in 2015, targets small and medium-sized Italian enterprises, offering rewards such as exclusive art experiences, team-building events, and limited-edition works. CEO Mauro Mattei emphasizes transparency and democratic funding as benefits for companies. The exhibition, curated by Atto Bertoli Ardessi and Ginevra Bria, features 20 works including films, video installations, and musical compositions spanning 15 years. Van der Werve's performances often involve extreme physical endurance—running, swimming, cycling—accompanied by his own compositions inspired by Romantic composers. The show's title references medieval Spanish dramatic cycles. FuturDome, an independent museum, transforms its spaces into an 'in-natural' habitat for the artist. A new performance is planned during Milan Art Week.
