Be Comics! Festival Returns to Padua with Five Exhibitions

The international festival Be Comics! returns to Padua from March 23 to 25, 2018, with its second edition centered at the Centro culturale Altinate San Gaetano. The event features ten exhibitions focusing on comics, games, video games, and pop culture, including five highlighted shows. Milo Manara's 'Fantavisioni' presents over 40 boards exploring his fantasy and science fiction works beyond his famed eroticism. 'Il Corvo' marks the 30th anniversary of James O'Barr's dark icon with original boards by Werther dell'Edera and Matteo Scalera, in an exclusive Italian co-production between Edizioni BD and IDW Publishing. Manuele Fior's 'Le Femmine Fantastiche' showcases 60 works centered on female characters from his graphic novels, including previews of his upcoming 'Celestia'. Gabriel Walta's first Italian exhibition traces his career from Spanish horror to Marvel hits like 'Vision' and 'Dr. Strange' with over 40 pieces. 'La Crepa' by photographer Carlos Spottorno and journalist Guillermo Abril presents images and graphic treatment from their 2017 book on EU borders, blending photoreportage, fotoromanzo, and graphic novel. All exhibitions run from March 10 to 25, with free entry.
