Be Comics! Festival Returns to Padua for Second Edition

The second edition of Be Comics!, the international festival of comics, games, and pop culture, will take place in Padua from March 23 to 25, 2018. Organized by Arcadia Arte with the patronage of the Municipality and the University of Padua, and curated by Matteo Stefanelli, the festival will be held at the Centro culturale Altinate San Gaetano, which will host the market area with publishers, a section dedicated to Japanese tradition, and exhibitions of national and international artists. The children's area will be located at the Orto Botanico. The festival aims to involve the entire city through preliminary initiatives at independent bookstores and comic shops, and an info point pop-up in Via del Santo. New for 2018 is a focus on video games, expanding the experiential offer. The festival's poster was created by cartoonist and illustrator Manuele Fior, featuring his character Dora atop the Gattamelata statue in front of the Basilica of Saint Anthony.
