BBC Documentary Accuses Jared Leto of Sexual Misconduct with Minors

A BBC documentary titled "Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret" features ten women accusing actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto of sexual assault or abuse, in several cases when they were minors. The incidents span from 2002 to 2016, when Leto was between 30 and 44 years old. One woman, Isabel, said she was assaulted in a hotel bathroom at age 17 after meeting Leto at a Las Vegas store. Another woman reported a sexual encounter in California in 2006 when she was 17 and Leto was 34; she said Leto dismissed the state's age of consent of 18. Taylor, then 14, alleged Leto made an obscene comment and had a security guard take her backstage after a concert in 2005. Etta, 16 in 2014, said Leto obtained her number under false pretenses, asked about her virginity and perversions, and later suggested she contact a friend who proposed making porn; she believes the friend was Leto himself. The BBC reviewed photos, messages, and a non-disclosure agreement offered to Etta, which she refused. Two former Thirty Seconds to Mars employees corroborated discomfort with Leto's behavior toward teenage fans. This is not the first such accusation; in June 2025, Air Mail interviewed nine women, and the BBC reports over 120 allegations against Leto.
