publication · 2026-05-19

Argent Comics has unveiled a special limited-edition release of "Batman: The Killing Joke," designed to resemble a 35mm film camera, with a price tag of $17,409.75. Only 47 copies are available, and buyers must submit an application to purchase. This graphic novel, first released in 1988 by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland, showcases the Joker on the cover with a Witz camera. This edition features the original coloring by John Higgins from 1988 and a recolored version by Bolland from 2008. Each page is giclée-printed on custom Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic paper, bound in aluminum with goatskin leather, and presented in a cinnamon calf leather case lined with suede. The lens is detachable and spins using magnets. Collectors interested in viewing can arrange private appointments at Argent's headquarters in Croatia.
