Baruchello and Perrone Dual Exhibition at Massimo De Carlo
Palazzo Belgioioso in Milan hosts two concurrent solo exhibitions featuring Gianfranco Baruchello and Diego Perrone at Galleria Massimo De Carlo. Baruchello (born 1924, Livorno) presents a kaleidoscopic display including three paintings from the cycle "Nella stalla della Sfinge" (1980-1981), which explore representations of sweetness. A wire-framed Greenhouse gives the show its title. Newspaper clippings and pencil drawings on canvas from the 1970s attempt to decode the chaotic precision of media languages. Diego Perrone (born 1970, Asti) exhibits seven spherical glass heads that trace his artistic evolution. His works feature a multitude of fish, tractors, and amphorae, referencing his rural origins and evoking shifting landscapes. Pencil drawings recall the indirect molds that created them, pushing toward excessive perfection. The exhibitions run concurrently at the gallery's Palazzo Belgioioso space.
