Bonhams|Cars will auction Barry Sheene's 1977 World Championship-winning works Suzuki RG500 XR14, a motorcycle with frame number 1201 and engine number RR 1202 RG500, at The International Classic MotorCycle Show in Stafford, UK on 26 April. This sale coincides with the 50th anniversary of Sheene's first 500cc World Championship win in 1976. The bike, one of only two factory machines he used during the 1977 season, is offered without reserve and carries an estimate of £160,000 to £200,000. It has not been on the market for nearly four decades. Approximately 90 other notable machines from the same single-owner collection and The Rex Judd Collection will also be available.
