Barnaba Fornasetti on the Dreamworld of Casa Fornasetti

Barnaba Fornasetti, who heads the Fornasetti brand and is the son of the iconic Piero Fornasetti, recently guided a tour of the Casa Fornasetti showroom in Milan. This venue, located at Via Senato and Corso Venezia, features an illusionary green wall, playful characters that seem to watch visitors, and a turntable beneath a replica of Piero's 1958 'Stanza Metafisica' room divider. Barnaba shared his view on the brand, saying, "Our archive is extensive, but we often just refresh existing pieces rather than create new ones." He pointed out recurring motifs like women's faces and neoclassical designs, while also wanting to highlight overlooked details like flowers. Inspired by Milan’s artistic heritage, he recalls humor shared with painter Orfeo Tamburi and seeks unique treasures in street markets, aiming to host an exhibition of Piero's artwork with other artists.
