Barcelona Fashion Week 2024 Held at Modernist Sant Pau Complex
Barcelona Fashion Week took place from April 9 to 12, 2024, organized by 080 Barcelona Fashion at the Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau, Europe's largest modernist complex designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner (begun in 1902, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997). The event showcased emerging designers outside the traditional fashion capitals of Milan and Paris. Three highlighted brands included Dominnico (founded 2016 by Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro, born 1994), presenting an autumn/winter 2024 collection with 2000s aesthetics, slow fashion, and inclusivity; Avec Amour (creative directors María Undo and Daniel de Villanueva), offering a romantic, handcrafted collection made in Valencia from vintage and deadstock fabrics; and Bielo, a minimalist yet playful brand with plissé tops, pastel knits, and micro-bead details. The fair aimed to prove Barcelona has a fashion week worth following beyond Madrid.
