The Barbican Centre in London has launched Feel the Sound, an immersive exhibition that delves into the influence of listening on emotions and memories, which will be available until 31 August 2025. This exhibition showcases 11 interactive installations, including four newly commissioned pieces. Highlights include Observatory Station by Miyu Hosoi, Temporary Pleasure's Joyride featuring salvaged car wrecks, and Your Inner Symphony by Nexus Studios and Kinda Studios, which interprets physiological data visually. Audience engagement is a key focus, with contributions like UN/BOUND by TRANS VOICES, ILĀ, MONOM, and two Listening Playgrounds showcasing Sensing Streams by Ryuichi Sakamoto. Additionally, poet Raymond Antrobus presents Heightened Lyric with kites on the Lakeside Terrace. This exhibition is part of the summer program Frequencies: The Sounds That Shape Us and will subsequently tour internationally following its debut in London.
