Barbican Centre Hosts 'Future City' Architecture Exhibition

The Barbican Centre in London, a concrete brutalist complex often called 'the bunker' by locals, presented 'Future City: Experiment and Utopia in Architecture 1956-2006' from June 15 to September 17, 2006. The exhibition, part of the Paris Calling project dedicated to contemporary French creation, was supported by the French Ministry of Culture, the Frac Centre, and the Centre Pompidou. It was hailed as one of the most astonishing architecture exhibitions ever held in an art venue.
