Kruger (born Newark, 1945) is among the world's most influential and imitated artists, known for her iconic style of short, powerful slogans often paired with images. She expresses fascination with the unauthorized use of her imagery, having created a work using dozens of internet files that recall her style but were not made by her. 'The way my images have traveled on the web, in various forms, both made by me and by other people, pleases and amuses me,' she comments.
